To New Beginnings!
Every January 1st people all over the world make resolutions for the new year. Most set out with goals revolving around fitness, money, or their time and what starts as good intentions usually succumbs to the realities of everyday life. I’m no different. Every year in the event”down time” between Christmas and wedding season, I make a list of goals I want to accomplish in my personal and professional life in the next 365 days. Though I start off with all kinds of big ideas and enthusiasm, when things start picking up my plans get pushed to the back burner, time starts spinning by at top speeds, a series of excuses build up, and eventually I get to the point that just making it to work on time in clean clothes with half of the recommended hours of sleep is cause for a celebration!!
Okay maybe that’s a little dramatic, but you get the point.
HOWEVER with the help of some very talented people I’m so proud to say I FINALLY checked something off my grand list that has been lingering in the “still to do” column for far too long. If you’re reading this you should know by now that we at T&S Farm now have our very own website! WOOHOO! It’s something that I’ve wanted for so long and I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out! Shout out to the fabulous Karly Richardson (www.karlyrichardson.com) and several of our past brides and their photographers for making it happen!
Another thing we’ve been working on in the past year is improving our bridal cabin! We’re still tweaking some things, so I won’t say it’s finished, but since last summer we have put a new roof on the ole place, replaced the windows. installed central heat and air (can I get an Amen, from any of my past Summer brides?!), installed new flooring, updated the bathtub, new kitchen and bathroom counter tops, new kitchen appliances, and updated the porch furniture and indoor decor! When you listed it all out, I guess you could say the cabin went through quite the renovation!
We made some other upgrades to the party barn with our lighting, but those aren’t so impressive, so I won’t bore you with those details!
So yes, every year I make new goals and every year I usually fall short, but man is it sweet when something finally falls into place!
So welcome to our new site, welcome to my new blog and thank you for all your support! Let’s do this 2017!
